Creating safer Districts for Women in partnership with IDEA funded by “WECAN”

Project description

DASTAR has implemented a project title “Creating safer Districts for Women” in partnership of IDEA a project of “WECAN”. The project is focusing on preventing sexual violence against women in two targeted Districts i.e. Nowshera and Swat. Both districts were badly affected by recent flood while district swat was severely affected by terrorism/conflict. Both districts were experienced several cases directly relating to the sexual violence in both natural and man-made disasters. DASTAR is only implementing the project in district Nowshera as an IP of IDEA. DASTAR is targeting two union councils (UC Kabul River and UC Ghanderi) in District Nowshera while in District Swat IDEA is directly implemented the project in two U.C Miandam and UC Madyan with WECAN.
